[…] On 28 March 1998, The Prodigy played in Iceland. Quarashi was a support act, and after the gig, Liam asked them to remix ‘Diesel Power’ — the request was actually sent in May. Whether it was sent specially for the upcoming single is unknown, although many assumed that it was. Most likely the remix was requested for the XL Recordings compilation, which was released in September later on. According to Quarashi’s Sölvi Blondal, the remix was recorded in the summer of 1998 and sent back to Liam. […]
