well millstreet felt really oldschool, like a massive unused warehouse, soundsystem was very crisp and warm, far far better than the point, i could actually hear what was going on with some of the track
charly is been cut up with radio babylon, extended sections of empty breaks with the ‘wooooooooooh alright’ sample, sounds fantastic
no good actually has the big heart throbbing beat from the heat the energy…im not sure if it works live…buts it sounds good.
Diesel power was played, sounded phat as hell, really one that rattles the rib cages..I think smack my bitch up really went off though, thats the biggest ive heard it sound since 96..the place was spitting bodys…B+E had the old venom back, like i remebered it live in 94/95, a taste in the air, antisipation…something that was missing from the point depot.
as for me, I think im finished with the prodigy now, not a bad way to Finish things up…i know in the depths of my soul, that my enthusiasm for breakbeat music and also the prodigy, is hitting an alltime low, nothing to do with is the music good or bad, this is just me, something is failing to inspire and move me, ive no spiritual connection!…I hope theres a new crop of kids ready to get into what i got into all those years ago, and worship the ground this band walks on..
Im not gonna review the gig, great show, better than the point depot (even if the crowd wasnt), everything flowed far better.
Oh and i must add, the funny little situation i was in at the end of the gig, when neko introduced me to the backstage sluts, lovely guys …nothing taken to seriously, and everything was in good spirit!
