Notes by PinHead:
i wasn’t too dissapointed about the gig.the only thing i dont like that he runs all his songs on his laptops.the bits and pieces he does on his virus are too little to matter.it just makes the show sound like playback.the only track that gave me a real live experience was breathe.maybe a couple others, but the rest were just dead.world’s on fire i found out it’s pretty shitty live,i don’t know were all the excitement for the track comes from, the same with run,and a little with warriors dance, like i said because of the playback, linear thing.no energy no nothing.they didn’t get a good crowd reception either on those tracks, except the original excitement when they started.
from what i remember omen was a real bomb, everyone was jumping and singing all the way, breathe too, smbu, out of space.diesel power still packs a punch, everyone was happy for it.
the rest pretty much ordinary, maybe it was the sound too,but it’s sad the days he triggered the samples from his roland and played whith them are over.now all his synths on stage are just for show mostly and to keep him buzy while he beeps and ads some squeakes over the playback track.
i enjoyed more the gigs in sibiu and cokelive 2 years ago, they sounded more alive
Highlights by Canaris:
Great gig this Sunday, but a bit short. They started with WoF and, altho I can’t remember the exact order of the setlist, they went through classics like Their Law, SMBU, Breathe and Firestarter, new tracks like WD, TMTTH, Run With The Wolves and Omen. Comanche was also on the setlist as well as – big surprise for me – Omen Reprise (what a trip that was!)
All in all, a very good show
