Review by Andrew Kiwanuka, www.bbc.co.uk:
Let me make this point very clear from the start, Clever Brains Fryin’ are an awesome bundle of energy, and they will leave you wanting more, guaranteed.
I admit to being very biased towards Mister Flint as he happens to be a musical hero of mine, but I was blown away on Friday night by just the pure energy there showed in their performance.
After his first solo attempt with Flint didn’t do him any favours, this time around he has the makings of something good, albeit something pretty similar.
Clever Brains are made of five members, with one of the members being a very attractive lady who will get a lot attention I am sure.
As soon as they went into there first song, you could tell this was a Keith Flint project, as there just had so much energy, which you can’t help getting carried away with.
With Clever Brains you can tell Keith has taken a lot of what he had going with the Prodigy and will mean they will definitely appeal to the Prodigy’s fan base.
CBF’s set was pretty short and each song they performed sounded very similar to the last, but I really enjoyed their. performance, and would gladly see them again.
